Cancel an Apple Subscription

Usually when signing up for a subscription service, I create an account. Sometimes, however, I take the easy way out and click on the box that says Sign in
With Apple and pay for the subscription through my Apple account. I received an email informing me that a subscription for an app would automatically be renewed in September. I do not use that app anymore so I wanted to cancel that renewal. But, I didn’t know how to do it because there was no separate account with a user name and password since my sign up had been through Apple.

With a little research I learned what to do. It’s very simple!

Here are the steps.

  1. Open Settings and tap on your name at the top to open the page in the image below (iPad–same process on an iPhone).

2. Tap on Subscriptions to open the screen with your subscriptions listed.

You can see I have a subscription to a business that sends me a wonderful chocolate treat every month for the minuscule price of twelve hundred dollars a month. (Not really (-:)

3. Tap on the subscription you wish to cancel, and this screen appears.

Tap the red text to cancel your subscription.

All that you need to do is tap on the red text that says Cancel Subscription. A dialog box will appear to confirm the cancelation. That’s it–not a difficult process, at all.
